Hands-on/Full participation pastry course
Learn how to decorate cakes using rolled fondant for a pristine porcelain-like finish. Bommarito will share baking secrets to create a rich buttery yellow cake and how to make Sweet Vanilla Buttercream.
Bommarito will also share the techniques on how to enrobe the cake with Butter cream and proper placement of fondant on the cake.
Students will also learn how to create sugar drapery, appliqués, borders, bows and much more.
Plan to wear a white chef’s jacket, dark pants and comfortable shoes for all hands-on classes. Long hair should be pulled back.
Please be prepared to have a supply list.

Students will learn to make classic pizza dough and thin-crust cornmeal pizza dough; covering them with distinctive toppings and mouth-watering sauces, guaranteed to stimulate the pizza lover in you.
Take your work of art and masterfully grill it, sit back and enjoy the savory taste of your efforts.
Please wear a chef's jacket and bring your own knife.
Prerequisite: CES 2187 Cooking 101: Skill Development or with chef's approval
